Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 3
Add Butter
Cut in the unsalted butter into the dry mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Peppers and Cheese
Fold in the diced roasted poblano peppers and shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
- 5
Add Milk
Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 6
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it down to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
- 7
Bake
Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
