Prepare the Beef
Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with cornstarch. Toss to coat evenly and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef in batches, cooking for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Combine and Serve
In the same skillet, pour in the sauce and bring to a simmer. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and stir to coat. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and garnish with sliced green onions.
