Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- 3
Mix Sugars
Once the butter is melted, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar until well combined.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.
- 5
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 tsp of salt.
- 6
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 7
Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- 8
Pour Batter into Pan
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
- 9
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 10
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
