Ribs

Method

Preparation of Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  3. 3

    Season Ribs

In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and brown sugar. Rub this seasoning mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Bake Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  2. 5

    Make BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, mustard, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well mixed and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and let it cook for about 15 minutes.

  3. 6

    Glaze Ribs

Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the ribs.

  4. 7

    Broil Ribs

Place the ribs under the broiler on high for 5-10 minutes to caramelize the sauce, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

Serving

  1. 8

    Slice and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice between the bones and serve hot with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
