Method
Chicken Tender Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, about 1-inch wide. Place them in a mixing bowl.
- 2
Season the Chicken
Sprinkle the chicken strips with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to coat evenly and let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
Breading Station
- 3
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, prepare your breading station: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and milk, and the last with breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan cheese.
- 4
Bread the Chicken
Take each marinated chicken strip and dredge it in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- 5
Rest the Battered Chicken
Place the breaded chicken tenders on a plate and let them rest for 10 minutes to help the breading adhere better.
Cooking
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 7
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).
- 8
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
