Method
Brewing Directions
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 16 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
- 2
Steep the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 16 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5 to 7 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.
- 3
Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot. Do not squeeze the bags as this may release bitterness.
- 4
Cool the Tea
Let the tea cool to room temperature for about 30 minutes. If you're in a hurry, you can place it in the refrigerator to cool faster.
- 5
Add Ice
In a large pitcher, add 8 cups of ice. Pour the cooled tea over the ice to chill it further.
- 6
Garnish with Lemon and Mint
Slice the lemon and add the slices to the pitcher along with the fresh mint leaves for added flavor.
- 7
Serve
Stir the tea gently and serve in glasses over ice. Enjoy your refreshing unsweetened tea!
