Thunder Brownies

Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

Melt Butter and Mix Sugars
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Mix Everything Together
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Bake
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.

Cool and Cut
Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, cream together 0.5 cup of unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Egg and Vanilla
Beat in 1 large egg and stir in 1 tsp of vanilla extract until well combined.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chunks.

Scoop and Bake
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.

Cool Cookies
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Strawberries

Wash Strawberries
Rinse 2 cups of fresh strawberries under cold water and gently pat dry with a paper towel.

Arrange the strawberries on the dessert platter alongside the brownies and cookies.
