Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Miso Butter

In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with softened unsalted butter until well combined. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Sea Bass

In a shallow dish, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, and honey. Add the Chilean sea bass fillets and coat well. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  3. 3

    Cook the Sea Bass

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated sea bass fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Finish with Miso Butter

Once the sea bass is cooked, reduce the heat to low and add the miso butter to the skillet. Allow it to melt and baste the fish with the melted butter for an additional 2 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the sea bass from the skillet and transfer to plates. Drizzle with any remaining miso butter and garnish with chopped fresh chives before serving.
