Directions
- 1
Prepare the sushi rice
Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rinsed rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 2
Prepare the tuna filling
In a bowl, mix the drained tuna with Kewpie mayonnaise, soy sauce, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Shape the onigiri
Once the rice is cooked and slightly cooled, wet your hands with water and take a handful of rice. Flatten it into a triangle shape and place a spoonful of the tuna mixture in the center. Mold the rice around the filling to encase it completely, and shape it into a triangle.
- 4
Wrap with nori
Cut the nori sheet into strips and wrap a piece around each onigiri for added flavor and presentation. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- 5
Serve
Enjoy your Tuna Mayonnaise Onigiri immediately or wrap in plastic wrap for later.
