If using chicken or beef, cook and shred or chop the meat into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to melt the cheese evenly.

On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.
