Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tea bags. Allow them to steep for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags and discard them. If you prefer a stronger tea, you can steep for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Sweetening the Tea (optional)

  1. 4

    Add Sugar

If you prefer sweetened iced tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar to the hot tea and stir until fully dissolved.

  2. 5

    Add Lemon Juice and Mint

Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and add 5 mint leaves for extra flavor. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.

Chilling the Tea

  1. 6

    Cool the Tea

Once the tea has cooled to room temperature, transfer it to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.

Serving the Tea

  1. 7

    Serve Over Ice

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.

  2. 8

    Garnish (optional)

Garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs, if desired.
