Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Add the boneless, skinless chicken breasts to the marinade. Ensure the chicken is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 6
Prepare the Buns
Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf, followed by a grilled chicken breast, a slice of cheddar cheese, and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
