Thinly slice the chicken breast and set aside. Peel and devein the shrimp. Slice the mushrooms and quarter the tomatoes. Chop the lemongrass, and slice the galangal. Smash the bird's eye chilies.

In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, fish sauce, lime juice, and sugar. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

Once the broth is simmering, add the chopped lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, and smashed bird's eye chilies to the pot. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
