Tea Base

Sweetener and Cream

Garnish (optional)

Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves. Stir gently to combine.

  3. 3

    Infuse

Let the tea leaves steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  4. 4

    Strain Tea

After steeping, strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl or pitcher to remove the tea leaves.

  5. 5

    Sweeten

While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Assembling the Drink

  1. 6

    Prepare Glass

Fill a glass with ice cubes, about 1 cup.

  2. 7

    Pour Tea

Pour the cooled Thai tea over the ice in the glass, filling it about 3/4 full.

  3. 8

    Add Cream

Top the tea with 1 cup of evaporated milk and 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk. Stir gently to combine.

Garnishing (optional)

  1. 9

    Garnish

Add a few mint leaves for garnish if desired.
