Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Brisket
Trim excess fat from the brisket and pat it dry with paper towels.
- 2
Seasoning
In a small bowl, mix together the kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and mustard powder. Rub this seasoning mix all over the brisket.
- 3
Marinate
Wrap the seasoned brisket in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 4
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C).
- 5
Prepare Braising Liquid
In a roasting pan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke.
- 6
Braising
Place the brisket in the roasting pan, fat side up. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and transfer to the oven. Cook for 8-10 hours, or until the brisket is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).
- 7
Resting
Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
- 8
Serve
Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
