Method

Preparation

  1. 1

Gather all the herbs and spices needed for the tea. Measure out 2 tablespoons of dried Korean ginseng, 2 tablespoons of dried chrysanthemum flowers, 1 tablespoon of dried licorice root, 1 tablespoon of dried ginger, and 1 tablespoon of dried green tea leaves.

  2. 2

In a pot, add 4 cups of water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Brewing

  1. 3

    Steep the Herbs

Once the water has reached a boil, reduce the heat to low and add all the measured herbs into the pot. Cover and let the mixture steep for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

  2. 4

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to carefully strain the tea into a teapot or individual cups. Discard the solid herbs and flowers.

Serving

  1. 5

    Sweeten the Tea (optional)

If desired, add honey or sugar to taste. Stir well to dissolve the sweetener in the hot tea.

  2. 6

    Enjoy

Serve the tea hot and enjoy a traditional Korean herbal experience.
