Turkey Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Turkey
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry. Rub the turkey all over with butter, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme. Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan.
- 2
Roast the Turkey
Add chicken broth to the bottom of the roasting pan. Roast the turkey for about 13-15 minutes per pound, basting occasionally with the broth, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Stuffing Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Stuffing
In a large skillet, melt 4 tbs of butter over medium heat. Add chopped celery and onion, cooking until soft. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, broth, salt, pepper, and beaten eggs. Mix well.
- 4
Bake the Stuffing
Spoon the stuffing into the turkey cavity or transfer it to a baking dish. If baking separately, cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-40 minutes.
Green Beans Preparation
- 5
Cook the Green Beans
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook green beans until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 6
Pumpkin Pie Preparation
- 7
Prepare the Pumpkin Filling
In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, sugar, beaten eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger until smooth.
- 8
Bake the Pie
Pour the filling into the pie crust and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 15 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40-50 minutes, or until the filling is set.
