Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Mix well and set aside.

Slice the Steak
Thinly slice the NY strip steak against the grain into approximately 1/8 inch thick slices.

Marinate the Steak
Add the sliced steak to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Prepare the Hot Rock
Preheat a flat stone or rock in the oven at 500°F (260°C) for about 30 minutes or until it's extremely hot. Carefully remove from oven.

Serve
Arrange the marinated steak slices on a serving plate. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve with the hot rock on the side for cooking the meat to your preference.
