Deviled Egg Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Boil the Eggs

Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, cover the pan and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs sit for 12-14 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cool and Peel

Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for about 5 minutes. Once cool, gently tap the eggs to crack the shell and peel them under running water.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

Slice the peeled eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. In a bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, red onion, dill, salt, and black pepper. Add a drop of blue food coloring and mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Fill the Egg Whites

Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill the egg white halves with the yolk mixture.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Top each filled egg with an edible flower for garnish. Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
