Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic Mashers

Peel and quarter the potatoes. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to pot.

  2. 2

Mince the garlic and add to the potatoes. Add milk, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

  3. 3

Prepare the Vanilla Bean Beurre Blanc

In a saucepan, combine the butter, split vanilla bean (seeds scraped out), and a splash of water. Heat gently until butter is melted and mixed with the vanilla.

  4. 4

Reduce the heat and keep warm, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5

    Flash Broil the Lobster Tail

Preheat the broiler. Cut the lobster tail down the center and gently open it up to expose the meat.

  6. 6

Place the lobster tail on a broiler-safe pan and broil for 6-8 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and lightly browned.

  7. 7

    Serve

Plate the garlic mashers, place the broiled lobster tail on top, and drizzle with the vanilla bean beurre blanc.
