Shrimp Pakora
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, onion, garlic, ginger, green chili, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the shrimp with the spices.
- 2
Make the Batter
Add chickpea flour, rice flour, and water to the shrimp mixture. Mix until a thick batter forms, ensuring the shrimp is well coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Make sure there is enough oil to submerge the pakoras.
- 4
Fry the Pakoras
Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the shrimp batter into the oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare the Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add chopped cilantro and sauté for a minute.
- 6
Serve
Serve the hot shrimp pakoras drizzled with the butter sauce.
