For the Sausage Rolls
For the Sweet Chili Sauce
Method
Preparing the Sausage Rolls
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- 2
Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the pork sausage meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- 3
Roll the Pastry
Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into rectangles (about 10x15 cm).
- 4
Fill the Pastry
Place a portion of the sausage mixture along one edge of each pastry rectangle. Roll the pastry over the filling to form a log, sealing the edges with a little water.
- 5
Cut and Bake
Cut each log into bite-sized pieces and place them seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with a little beaten egg. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Making the Sweet Chili Sauce
- 6
Mix the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, lime juice, and chili flakes. Stir well to blend all the flavors.
