Prepare the Pork
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Rinse the pork shoulder under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.

Rub the Hawaiian sea salt all over the pork shoulder, making sure to cover all sides.

Drizzle the liquid smoke over the pork, ensuring it is evenly coated.

Wrap and Roast
If using banana leaves, lay them out flat and place the seasoned pork in the center. Wrap the leaves around the pork tightly.

Place the wrapped pork (or just the pork if not using leaves) in a roasting pan and cover it tightly with aluminum foil.

Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 6-8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily pulled apart with a fork.

Shred and Serve
Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
