Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the chuck roast on all sides until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Aromatics

In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a slow cooker, combine the seared beef, sautéed onion and garlic, cumin, oregano, chili powder, bay leaves, beef broth, lime juice, salt, and pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

  5. 5

    Shred the Beef

Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Tacos

Warm the corn tortillas on a skillet or in the microwave. Assemble tacos by adding the barbacoa, cilantro, sliced radishes, avocado, sour cream, and queso fresco on top.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Taco Barbacoa!
