Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Seafood

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and scallops. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until they turn opaque. Remove from heat and let cool. Once cool, chop them into smaller pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the chopped onion, garlic, and red bell pepper until softened, about 5 minutes.

Making the Stuffing

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the cooked seafood, sautéed vegetables, crab meat, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and white wine (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Assembling the Txangurro

  1. 5

    Fill the Shells

Brush the scallop shells or baking dishes with melted butter. Spoon the seafood stuffing mixture into each shell, packing it gently.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Txangurro

Place the filled shells on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
