Seared Tuna Ingredients
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Tuna
Pat the tuna steaks dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Marinate
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, olive oil, and lemon juice. Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
- 3
Heat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet over high heat until it is very hot.
- 4
Sear the Tuna
Remove the tuna from the marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off. Sprinkle sesame seeds on both sides of the tuna steaks. Place the tuna in the hot skillet and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side, depending on your desired level of doneness.
- 5
Serve
Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a minute before slicing. Serve immediately, garnished with additional sesame seeds if desired.
