Method
Cook the Pasta
Cook Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make the Marinara Sauce
Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer the sauce on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Prepare the Garnish
Blanch Green Beans
In a small pot of boiling water, blanch the trimmed green beans for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
Make Garlic Cheese Bread
Bake
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
Serve
Combine and Serve
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the marinara sauce. Serve topped with blanched green beans and garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy with garlic cheese bread on the side.
