Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

Season the grass-fed ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form it into an 8 oz patty, ensuring it is slightly larger than the bun as it will shrink while cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. If adding cheese, place it on the patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bun

While the patty is cooking, lightly toast the gluten-free bun on the grill or in a toaster.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, layer the lettuce, the cooked beef patty, tomato slices, red onion slices, and pickle slice. If desired, add hatch green chile and bacon on top of the patty.

  5. 5

    Finish and Serve

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger. Serve with a side of fresh guacamole and fries.
