Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fresh pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute to form a roux. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to whisk until the mixture thickens.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese and Seasonings

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the grated coastal cheddar cheese until melted. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Combine Crab and Pasta

Gently fold the cooked pasta and Dungeness crab meat into the cheese sauce until well combined.

  5. 5

    Bake (Optional)

If desired, transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Spoon the crab mac & cheese into bowls and enjoy!
