Ingredients for Potato Pancakes

Method

Directions for Making Potato Pancakes

1

Prepare the Potato Mixture

Grate the potatoes and onion using a box grater or food processor. Place them in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture.

2

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, onion, egg, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

3

Fry the Pancakes

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Drop spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the skillet, flattening them slightly. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

4

Make the Apple Sauce

Peel, core, and chop the apples. In a saucepan, combine apples, cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and chunky, about 10-15 minutes.

5

Serve

Serve the potato pancakes warm with the chunky apple sauce on the side.
