Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño, and mince the garlic.

  2. 2

    Season the Beef

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Once hot, add the diced onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender and fragrant.

  2. 4

    Cook the Beef

Add the seasoned ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 5

    Add Liquids

Stir in the tomato sauce and beef broth, mixing well to combine all ingredients. Bring to a simmer and cook for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Serve the dish hot, garnished with chopped cilantro, a dollop of sour cream, and lime wedges on the side.
