Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Bread the Chicken

Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beat the eggs in a second bowl, and place the bread crumbs in a third bowl. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off excess, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat in bread crumbs, pressing to adhere.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cook the Chicken

  1. 4

    Fry the Chicken

In another skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Dish

In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the sauce on the bottom. Place the fried chicken breasts on top, then cover each piece with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly over the top.

  3. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve

  1. 7

    Garnish

Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
