Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Season the Steak
Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the steaks, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- 2
Preheat Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F or 232°C) for about 10-15 minutes to ensure a good sear on the steaks.
- 3
Grill the Steaks
Place the seasoned steaks on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time according to your desired doneness.
BBQ Sauce Preparation
- 4
Mix the Sauce
In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and combined.
- 5
Heat the Sauce
Transfer the sauce mixture to a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until warmed and slightly thickened.
Serving
- 6
Serve the Steak
Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Slice against the grain.
- 7
Plate and Garnish
Serve the sliced steak on a plate, drizzled with BBQ sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
