Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the petit filets with salt and crushed black peppercorns on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with olive oil. Grill the petit filets for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Make the Peppercorn Sauce

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped shallots, sauté until translucent. Add crushed black peppercorns and cook for another minute.

  4. 4

    Add Liquids

Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Reduce by half, then stir in the heavy cream. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Season the sauce with salt and adjust the pepper to taste. Stir in chopped fresh parsley for garnish.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the grilled petit filets and drizzle the peppercorn sauce over the top. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
