Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove from skillet and let cool, then chop into bite-sized pieces.

  3. 3

    Sauté Brussels Sprouts

In the same skillet, add olive oil and Brussels sprouts. Sauté until they begin to caramelize, about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  4. 4

    Make the Cider Glaze

In a small saucepan, combine apple cider, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until reduced by half, about 10-15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine and Serve

Once Brussels sprouts are caramelized, add the chopped bacon and pour the spiced cider glaze over them. Toss to combine. Top with toasted hazelnuts before serving.
