Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparation

Remove the New York Strip from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Seasoning

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil on both sides of the steak. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill or charbroiler to high heat (about 450-500°F).

  4. 4

    Charbroiling

Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes on the other side. Adjust time according to your preferred doneness.

  5. 5

    Resting

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Serving

Slice against the grain and serve with fresh rosemary if desired.
