Salad Preparation
Prepare the Mixed Greens
In a large salad bowl, add 4 cups of mixed greens. Ensure the greens are fresh and washed properly before adding.
Slice the Pear
Take 1 large pear, wash it, and slice it into thin wedges. Add the pear slices to the bowl with mixed greens.
Add Cashews and Cheese
Chop 1 cup of cashews roughly and sprinkle them over the salad. Grate or crumble 1 cup of Asiago cheese and add it to the salad as well.
Vinaigrette Preparation
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup of balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard until well combined.
Add Olive Oil
Slowly drizzle in 1 cup of olive oil while whisking continuously to emulsify the dressing.
Season the Vinaigrette
Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper to taste. Whisk again to combine everything thoroughly.
Assembly
Dress the Salad
Pour the honey-infused balsamic vinaigrette over the salad just before serving. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly.
