Method
Preparation of Crostinis
Prepare the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.
Bake the Crostinis
Place the slices on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Cooking the Shrimp
Season the Shrimp
In a bowl, toss the shrimp with salt and black pepper. Set aside.
Heat the Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
Sauté the Shrimp
Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
Add Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Deglaze with White Wine
Pour in the white wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
