Preparation

1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

2

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a seasoning mix.

3

Rub the seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.

Grilling the Chicken

4

Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the preheated grill.

5

Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

6

During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush the BBQ sauce generously over both sides of the chicken.

Assembling the Sandwich

7

Remove the grilled chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.

8

Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

9

Place the grilled BBQ chicken on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

10

Top with optional ingredients such as coleslaw, pickles, and sliced tomatoes as desired.
