Cook the Linguini
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the spicy Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Combine with Marinara Sauce
Stir in the marinara sauce and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Toss with Linguini
Add the cooked linguini to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.

Serve
Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
