Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the tops off the garlic bulbs, drizzle with olive oil, and wrap in aluminum foil. Roast in the oven for about 30 minutes until soft.

  2. 2

    Cook the Linguini

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

  3. 3

    Make the Marinara

In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Squeeze the roasted garlic out of its skins into the skillet. Add the crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine and Serve

Add the cooked linguini and fresh basil to the skillet with the marinara. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
