Fried Chicken and Biscuits
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Marinate Chicken
In a bowl, soak the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2
Prepare the Dry Mix
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge the marinated chicken in the dry mix, ensuring it is coated thoroughly. Fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

Cook the Prosciutto
In the same skillet, add the prosciutto slices and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- 5
Make the Biscuits
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and melted butter, mixing until just combined. Roll out and cut into rounds, placing on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
