Method

Prepare the Sauce

Cook Garlic

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add Tomatoes

Stir in canned crushed tomatoes, salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried basil. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cook the Toppings

Cook Bacon

In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Cook Chorizo

In the same skillet, add sliced chorizo and cook for about 5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Mushrooms

Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until they are golden brown, about 7-10 minutes.

Assemble the Dish

Layer Ingredients

In a baking dish, spread a layer of the tomato sauce, followed by the sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon, and chorizo.

Add Cheese

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Grana Padano on top.

Bake

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve

Remove from the oven and drizzle with chimichurri sauce before serving.
