Method

Cooking the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breast with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, ensuring an even coating.

  2. 2

    Bake the Chicken

Place the seasoned chicken breast on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 3

    Shred the Chicken

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before shredding it into bite-sized pieces.

Preparing the Vegetables

  1. 4

    Steam the Broccoli and Carrot

While the chicken is baking, bring a pot of water to a boil. Place the broccoli florets and sliced carrot into a steamer basket and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until tender.

  2. 5

    Toss with Olive Oil

Once steamed, remove the vegetables from the steamer and drizzle with olive oil. Toss gently to coat.

Cooking the Rice

  1. 6

    Prepare the Rice

In a medium pot, combine 2 cups of rice with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until the rice is cooked.

  2. 7

    Fluff and Add Soy Sauce

Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork and stir in the soy sauce.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, and carrots. Mix well to incorporate all the flavors.

  2. 9

    Serve

Plate the rice and top it with the chicken and vegetable mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
