Method

Preparation of Crab

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons of sea salt and 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.

  2. 2

    Add the Snow Crab Legs

Once the water is boiling, carefully add 1 lb of snow crab legs to the pot. Cover and let them cook for about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Check for Doneness

After 7 minutes, check the crab legs. They should be bright red and the meat should be opaque. If not, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare Lemon and Butter

While the crab is cooking, melt 1 cup of butter in a small saucepan. Squeeze the juice of 1 whole lemon into the melted butter and stir to combine.
