Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Pork
In a pot, combine the pork belly, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, ginger, and garlic. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour, or until the pork is tender.
Cool and Slice
Remove the pork from the pot and let it cool. Once cool, slice the pork belly into bite-sized pieces.
Fry the Pork
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced pork belly and fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
Create the Sauce
In the same skillet, add scallions, five-spice powder, sugar, and chili paste. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Combine
Add the crispy pork back into the skillet and toss until well coated in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
Serve
Serve hot with rice or as part of a larger meal.
