Bulgogi Beef Bowl Ingredients
Method
Preparation Instructions
Marinate the Beef
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Slice the beef sirloin thinly against the grain and add to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably a few hours.
Cook the Rice
Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, combine 1 cup of rice with 1.5 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes until the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork.
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated beef. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently until the beef is browned and cooked through.
Sauté the Peppers
In a separate pan, sauté the sliced bell peppers in a little oil over medium heat until they're tender, about 3-4 minutes.
Assemble the Bowl
In a bowl, place a serving of jasmine rice, top with the cooked bulgogi beef, sautéed peppers, and a drizzle of chili sauce. Serve with kimchi on the side, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
