Brewing Instructions

  1. 1

    Grind the Coffee Beans

Using a coffee grinder, grind the dark roast Brazilian coffee beans to a coarse consistency. Aim for a texture similar to sea salt.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a kettle, bring the filtered water to a boil. Once boiling, let it cool for about 30 seconds to reach the optimal brewing temperature of about 200°F (93°C).

  3. 3

    Brew the Coffee

Place the ground coffee in a French press or coffee maker. Pour the hot water over the coffee grounds and stir gently. Let it steep for about 4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Press or Filter

If using a French press, slowly press down the plunger to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee. If using a coffee maker, simply let it complete the brewing cycle.

  5. 5

    Serve

Pour the brewed coffee into your favorite mug. Add sugar and milk or cream to taste, if desired.
