1. Make the Vanilla Cream Filling
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
2. Prepare the Bananas
Slice the bananas into rounds and set aside.
3. Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until it starts to thicken. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
4. Assemble the Pie
In the pre-baked pie crust, layer half of the banana slices. Pour half of the vanilla cream filling over the bananas. Repeat with the remaining banana slices and cream filling.
5. Top with Whipped Cream and Nuts
Spread the whipped cream over the top of the pie. Sprinkle the toasted almonds on top for garnish.
6. Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set. Enjoy!
