Cheesecake Base

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheesecake Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with brown sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract and mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in chocolate chips.

  3. 3

    Combine and Bake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set (it should slightly jiggle). Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.

  4. 4

    Chill and Serve

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, drizzle with caramel sauce. Enjoy your Turtle Cheesecake!
